Cancer Research UK Fundraiser
I am absolutely over the moon to announce that Danielle Law School Of Dance & Music dancers and friends & family raised a massive £1000 for Cancer Research UK / Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens. We would like to give a massive thanks to every parent, carer, friend and dancer who attended on the night. Of course the night would not have been as a success without our fabulous companies that donated raffle prizes. Thanks to Thistle Shoes, DLSD, KDY Nails, Therapy Works Scotland, Jenn Mackay Photography, Eva Zeilling Bodyworks, SM Aesthetics, Kirkham Hairdressing, Lauren Coventry Beauty Therapy, JCL Photographs, Curves Kirkcaldy, Pouts & Pinups and K.S Hosiery.
Performing For Royality
Hannah & Grace were both selected from a ballot to compete at Braemar Highland Gathering today in front of the Her Majesty & Other Royal Family members. The girls were selected due to their competition success for their level. I Absolutely love the fact that not only have I performed for the Queen but now 2 of my dancers have also. Great experience girls!
Kirkcaldy Parks Half Marathon
Our Highland Dancers spurred along a lot of runners and spectators at Kirkcaldy Parks Half Marathon today. They were delighted to be asked to perform for the runners and were pleased to be allowed to cheer and clap them on. The dancers were well thanked by the committee and the runners themselves. Photographed is Councillor Alistair Cameron awarding the dancers with a medal from the half marathon for their hard work!
First Cowal Experience
Very proud of Hannah who danced at Cowal Highland Gathering competing in the Scottish & Scottish National for her first time and dancing as best as she could. She competed against dancers from all over the world on Thursday and dancers from all over Scotland on Friday. You definitely gave it your all on the stage and danced very well - not to mention this was only your 3rd & 4th Championship ever. Keep Working Hard!
Scholarship Nominations
I am absolutely delighted to announce that these 7 girls have been nominated to participate in the Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance Scholarship which will take place in November in Motherwell. The girls will compete in their sections and perform a choreographed dance, a selected national dance and a masterclass. As well as this, the girls must also complete a written paper. After the hard work, the girls will enjoy a banquet with their parents and myself. Well Done Girls!
